fish update

since i wasn’t completely happy with any of the two patterns for the fish that are out there on the web, i figured out my own. it is a mix of the pattern from knitter’s magazine issue 51 (summer 1998) and the other pattern of the smaller and simpler fish. my fish are similar to the first pattern, but almost as small as the second pattern, [...]

i’ve knitted up a fish from the original pattern, only narrower, i’ve knitted one version of the smaller fish (the flat one), tried knitting intarsia-style, tried to work out a pattern which is small, but longer, and with the same detailing as the original fish. and i am eventually happy with the result! let the fish [...]

and since i signed up for the fishblanket KAL at hobbyboden, i’ve been a-thinkin’ about yarn and colours and patterns and such, and did this:
i went to the yarn store and got 8 muskat

exchanged in 8 safran

ms3 – clue 1 and 2

are done! i am using the yarn called for – jaggerspun zephyr in colour ebony and needles 3,5 mm – addi turbu lace ones (very happy with those). next clue comes out on friday.

stash buster

just made this scarf to use up some nice soft yarn layin’ around. this will be a christmas present.

yarn: chiri from raumaull
needles: 7 mm
pattern: just plain and simple brioche stich, with double yarn on the first and last 10 cm
size: approximately 15 x 200 cm

devil’s baby hat

i’ve knitted this quickie a while back to a friend that has a baby girl on the way. it is quite big, though, so she might not get to wear it until she’s older…
