another beginning

7 Sep

to another neverending project! here goes – the stash busting rustic circles afghan ordered at e-patterns central. although a stash buster, i’ve also had to stock up for this… of course i don’t have enough white for all the circles. but the other colors will be decided by the contents of my green puff.

pile of 9!

all laid out for you (or me?)

yarn: two strands of rauma finull / gjestal ullteppegarn

hook: that very long odd double-ended thing bought from solvor hofsli, the smallest in a set of two.

the circles are made partly by tunisian crochet and regular crochet. the tunisian is made to make the coloured part. crocheted around and in the middle after. it would be possible to make this also without the use of a double ended hook, but this way makes it reversible. the only difference is that on one side the white will be dominant (like in the pics here) and on the other, the orange is dominant. i suppose i should take a picture… wait a sec. here we go, this is what i mean, which one do you prefer?

(and if you thinkone looks bigger than the other, you’re right, it is. so not an optical illusion😉 )
